KANGOO ADDS TO ITS TROPHY HAUL BY WINNING BEST SMALL VAN

Renault Kangoo is crowned ‘Small Van of the Year’ at the Business Van Awards 2024

  • The Renault Kangoo has added to its precious cargo of silverware after winning the ‘Best Small Van’ category at the Business Van Awards 2024.

The coveted award reaffirms Kangoo’s grip on the compact van market, with Renault’s ever-popular light commercial vehicle impressing the expert judging panel with its unrivalled blend of usability, ease of ownership and driving dynamics.

Hosted by the Business Vans website at www.businessvans.co.uk, the annual awards recognise the van and commercial vehicle manufacturers that are leading the way in the LCV sector.

The title takes the Kangoo’s tally of UK industry awards to eight in just the space of a year, with both the ICE and 100% electric E-Tech versions sharing the accolades.

On the specialist website’s decision to crown the Kangoo the best choice in the highly competitive small van sector, Chris Wright, Business Vans’ Editor, commented: “The new Kangoo is a really good addition to the small van market. It has low running costs, practicality, versatility and great driveability. We see it as the class leader and that is why it was an obvious pick as the Business Vans Best Small Van winner.“

Guillaume Sicard, Country Head UK & Managing Director Renault Brand UK, said: “This award underlines how Kangoo continues to set the standard in its hard-fought sector. The industry recognises that there’s simply no better small van available, regardless of how it is powered.”

Kangoo is available in Advance and Extra trim levels, offering a choice of petrol, diesel or 100% electric powertrains, plus short-, long-wheelbase and crew van formats. Its extensive specification offers up to 20 advanced driver assistance systems. The pure-electric Kangoo E-Tech 100% electric combines a load volume of up to 4.2m3 and a maximum 764kg payload with a driving range of up to 186 miles (WLTP). Its flexible charging means that an 80% charge can be achieved in circa 43 minutes when using rapid DC charging at up to 80kW.

Both long-wheelbase (LL21) and Crew Van versions attract the maximum £5,000 Plug-in Van Grant (PiVG), with medium wheelbase versions (ML19) receiving £2,500 of Government support.

The Kangoo is priced from £20,250 plus VAT, and the Kangoo E-Tech 100% electric starts at £32,350 plus VAT before the PIVG.
