Sandero and Jogger Win Big at the Auto Express New Car Awards

The Dacia Sandero was praised by Auto Express for its unbeatable package, while the Jogger took the highly-coveted family car award for the second year running after impressing the judges with its excellent usability and innovative design.

Auto Express determined the Sandero and Jogger to be its supermini and family car champions after judging them according to the way owners use them and need them to perform. They were then evaluated against key rivals.

On the renowned magazine and website’s decision to award the Dacia duo, Steve Fowler, Editor-in-Chief at Auto Express, said: “We're massive admirers of what Dacia is doing right now - it's no wonder other car makers are watching it so closely! New range-topping Extreme now available at Sutton Park Dacia

Dacia’s sense of adventure and outdoor spirit is now even greater thanks to the introduction of a new range-topping Extreme trim level and the release of an innovative Sleep Pack that turns the Jogger’s spacious interior into a mobile bedroom in minutes.

The new Extreme trim – which marks the pinnacle of the Sandero Stepway range and replaces the previous Extreme SE on Jogger and Duster – stands out with its own distinctive look that evokes a sense of the great outdoors.

Exclusive Cedar Green paintwork contrasts perfectly with the Copper Brown mirror caps, wheel centres, Dacia tailgate logo and roof bar emblems. Sandero Stepway and Jogger also feature Copper Brown detailing for the front fog lights, plus a striking topographical pattern on the front doors and side guards. Duster carries a similar design on the door pillars, protective wheelarch flares and snorkel. All models come with Brilliant Black alloy wheels – 16-inch on Sandero Stepway and Jogger, 17-inch on Duster – as well as a Brilliant Black shark fin antenna.

A panel of 27 well-respected UK motoring journalists and presenters from a range of media outlets voted the Jogger as the best car for families, after being won over by its unbeatable combination of practicality, versatility and value.

The UK Car of the Year Awards recognise the best new cars of the last 12 months. It might be the newest addition to the range, but the Jogger has already found favour with UK car buyers. Dacia wins a trio of highly coveted value-focused awards at the 2023 What Car? Car of the Year Awards

Dacia continues to be the undisputed value champion after a trio of its models were singled out as being the best value for money on the market at the 2023 What Car? Car of the Year Awards.

Awarded at the annual ceremony the renowned magazine and website hailed the Sandero as the Best Small Car For Value, the Duster as the Best Small SUV For Value and the Jogger as the Best Seven-Seater For Value.

Despite having only been on sale for a matter of months, the Jogger has been quick to make an impact on the market and the What Car? team. Steve explained why it was named Best Seven-Seater For Value: "The Jogger is the cheapest seven-seater that you can buy new in the UK by around £10,000, yet it still has space for adults in all three rows. In addition, it deals with lumpy roads well, while providing good body control over undulations to ensure that car sickness shouldn't be an issue. We particularly like the mid-spec Expression trim, because it brings useful gadgets, including a reversing camera.”

The Dacia Jogger has been voted Readers’ Choice at the TopGear.com Awards 2022. Chosen by readers of the well-known magazine and website, the win proves that the Jogger really is a super car.

Readers voted the Dacia Jogger their favourite after Top Gear asked them to choose from a shortlist of 43 cars that it has reviewed throughout 2022. Drawn from vehicles that had received higher than average scores out of 10, the exclusive list included hypercars, electric vehicles, sports cars and SUVs.

Thousands of readers cast their votes and, when the poll was complete, it was the Dacia Jogger with its seven-seat versatility that was revealed to be the readers’ champion.

Commenting on the Jogger’s success, Jack Rix, Editor, Top Gear magazine, said: “Given that the poll also included a range of multi-million pound hypercars, this is quite the coup for Dacia. DACIA ELECTRIFIES SEVEN-SEAT JOGGER CREATING ITS FIRST EVER HYBRID

Dacia has opened orders and confirmed full UK pricing and specifications for its sector-redefining seven-seat Jogger HYBRID 140. The model becomes the brand’s first ever Hybrid Electric Vehicle and is set to build on Jogger’s success story.

Utilising an advanced petrol/electric drivetrain, the new Jogger HYBRID 140 starts from just £22,595 on-the-road, making it the best value seven-seat hybrid available. Orders are now open with customer deliveries expected to commence in the second quarter of the year.

The Jogger HYBRID 140 features a normally aspirated 90hp 1.6-litre petrol engine, twin electric motors (50hp engine and a high voltage starter/generator) and a multi-mode automatic transmission, combined with a 1.2kWh (230V) battery. These components work together to deliver full electric start and instantaneous torque, smooth electric-only driving, and a choice of driving modes to suit different conditions. The drivetrain produces a highly usable 140hp enabling 0-62mph in 10.1 seconds, yet CO2 emissions only reach up to 112g/km, returning up to 56.5 mpg (WLTP combined).
