The 1.4-litre Sport model was voted as the ‘Hot Hatch of The Year’ following an intensive test schedule over the last 12 months with the 15 members of the Association recently assembling to cast their votes for the best new cars on the market.
John Murdoch, President of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers, said: "The Suzuki Swift Sport has the get up and go to make every journey a joy. It captures the fun of a hot hatch perfectly yet you can have a great drive within the limits. And when you need a practical supermini, the Swift Sport is just as happy carrying you and the family. The perfect hot hatch."
Dale Wyatt, Director of Automobile at Suzuki GB PLC comments: “We have 17 dealers in the Scottish Region and this latest award is really positive news for us. The launch of the Swift Sport with its turbo charged 1.4-litre engine has opened up further opportunities to win new buyers in the crowded hot hatch segment. Our current customer saving offer is proving very popular too and UK sales have reached over 900 since June with 10 per cent of these in Scotland.
The new Swift Sport is available with a £1,000 customer saving until the end of this year, priced at £16,999 including the offer. A PCP finance agreement is also available with an APR of 6.9 per cent, monthly payments of £199 over 49 months and with a final optional payment of £6,429 to keep the car.
The Sport is highly equipped as standard with DAB Radio, climate control air conditioning, Smartphone link display audio, Dual Sensor Brake Support, rear view camera, 17-inch alloy wheels and front foglamps.
