In the first half of 2017, Kia Motors (UK) Limited has sold 50,000 cars – the first time the brand has hit the milestone having first started trading in the UK in 1991. During that year, the brand sold just under 1,800 cars, a figure that it now sells on average every week across its 188 strong dealer network – with Sutton Park Group contributing towards this.
Paul Philpott, CEO and President of Kia said; “We’re thrilled to have been able to break such a milestone within the UK, and this is testament to our growing brand presence, and strength of our design. Our total sales in the UK now number 861,143 with sales expecting to reach the one million mark by 2020.
Jon Hughes, Sales Manager at Sutton Park Group Coventry also commented; “Here at Sutton Park we’re delighted to be able to add to the success of Kia. This has been a great year for us and reaching this milestone is illustrative of this success. We’re looking forward to welcoming more residents in Coventry to Sutton Park Group and showing them all the wonderful Kia cars we have to offer.”
