RENAULT CLIO CROWNED 'SMALL CAR OF THE YEAR 2021' AT COMPANY CAR AND VAN AWARDS

The Clio impressed Company Car and Van judges with its impressive quality and performance. Commenting on the win, the judges said: “Renault are on the rise and no car highlights this better than the latest Clio, which very much surprised us, but in a good way. It’s loads of fun to drive and comes with the tastiest interior of any car in the sector. Easily the best new small car launched in 2020 and the best Clio ever.”

  • • High quality interior and driving comfort contributed to its win • Clio E-TECH Hybrid offers business users more choice than ever before • Renault Clio range starts at £15,895 OTR

Introduced in 2019, the fifth-generation Clio raised the bar in the small car sector, setting new standards for quality, technology and practicality. Priced from £15,895 on the road, it has a much more premium feel than its predecessor, which has resulted from the inclusion of features usually reserved for larger and more expensive cars and the use of higher quality materials in the interior. The first Renault to be built on the modular CMF-B platform, the Clio boasts evolutionary exterior design with a revolutionary interior featuring premium materials and the latest technology including 9.3-inch EASY LINK touchscreen and crisp TFT Driver Information Display.

Further enhancing the appeal of the Clio is the advanced new E-TECH powertrain, introducing hybrid power to the Renault range for the first time. Debuting technology inspired by the Renault F1 team for energy optimisation and brake regeneration, all models fitted with E-TECH technology offer customers strong performance with low running costs, enhancing the driving experience and refinement of existing Clio models. The addition of the E-TECH hybrid version means that company car drivers have even more choice than ever before.

Mark Dickens, Fleet Director, Renault UK, said of the award: “We’re thrilled to have won the title of ‘Small Car of the Year 2021’ for the latest Clio. With its high-quality interior, low ‘benefit in kind’ taxation, five-star safety, and impressive driving, it is easy to see why it is attractive to business users. Not to mention that the recent addition of the E-TECH hybrid version has made the supermini even more appealing.”
