The reality is, there are microscopic imperfections which trap dirt and pollutants making them hard to remove.
All paints are now water-based to be environmentally friendly – which has made them softer and more susceptible to damage, whilst being exposed to some of the harshest pollutants everyday:

SUNSHINE
UV rays from the sun can damage vehicle paint causing it to oxidise and fade over time… Just like the Post Office vans that enter service in a lovely deep red and fade to pink!

TREE SAP
Tree sap not only sticks to vehicle paintwork like glue, but also causes damage. It can etch through the paint’s clear-coat and cause a stain, and is accelerated in hot weather.
